Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join our team. As a Refrigeration Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration systems in various commercial and industrial settings. You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs, provide technical expertise, and ensure optimal performance and efficiency of refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design refrigeration systems: Develop detailed plans and specifications for refrigeration systems based on client requirements, industry standards, and applicable regulations. This includes selecting appropriate components, determining system capacity, and ensuring energy efficiency.
  2. Install and commission refrigeration systems: Oversee the installation and commissioning of refrigeration equipment, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, and controls. Ensure proper alignment, piping, wiring, and insulation, while adhering to safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
  3. Perform maintenance and repairs: Conduct regular maintenance activities, including inspections, cleaning, and lubrication, to ensure the smooth operation and longevity of refrigeration systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues, repair or replace faulty components, and perform system tests to verify proper functionality.
  4. Monitor system performance: Utilize monitoring tools and techniques to assess the performance and efficiency of refrigeration systems. Analyze data, identify trends, and recommend adjustments or upgrades to optimize energy consumption, minimize environmental impact, and reduce operating costs.
  5. Provide technical expertise: Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical guidance. Advise on equipment selection, system design modifications, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  6. Ensure compliance and safety: Adhere to local, national, and international codes, regulations, and safety standards applicable to refrigeration systems. Stay updated on emerging technologies, best practices, and industry advancements to ensure compliance and enhance system performance.
  7. Documentation and reporting: Maintain accurate records of system installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Prepare comprehensive reports, including project documentation, technical specifications, and service logs. Communicate effectively with clients and team members, providing progress updates and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications or vocational training in refrigeration systems will be advantageous.
  2. Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience working with commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. Proven track record of successful system design, installation, maintenance, and repair projects.
